Please note; From 1 January 2011, when new passenger cars, off-road vehicles and forward-control passenger vehicles (eg passenger vans) are first registered in Victoria, they must be fitted with electronic stability control (also known as ESC, Dynamic Stability Control or DSC). This requirements applies to all passenger cars, off-road passenger vehicles, and forward-control passenger vehicles with a compliance/identification plate date of 01/11 or after. As ESC is not available on Escape, new Escape vehicles with a compliance/identification plate date of 01/11 or after will not be capable of first registration in Victoria. This ESC requirement does not apply to a motor vehicle that has been registered in another State or a Territory for one year of more immediately before the motor vehicle is brought into Victoria.
