Falcon Ute's list of safety features is as long as it is reassuring.

ABS

Falcon Ute's brakes are designed to cover all stopping possibilities with large rotors (298 mm front and 303 mm rear) and large, stiff calipers. Anti-lock Brakes with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution* help the driver maintain steering control in emergency braking situations.

Intelligent Safety System

Employing a number of sensors, the computer driven Intelligent Safety System monitors information such as driver seating position and crash severity. In an accident this information is fed to the Advanced Restraints Module, which instantly decides how best to deploy modern safety technologies such as the dual stage inflation driver airbag, front seat pyrotechnic seat belt pretensioners, energy management seat retractors and more.

Security

Smartshield is a state of the art vehicle immobilisation system that uses a specially encoded ignition key that must be programmed into the Body Electronics Module before it can be used to start the vehicle.

Traction Control

The Ford Traction Control System (TCS) is available on all Falcon XR Utes*. TCS limits wheel spin during acceleration. It helps the driver to remain in control under heavy acceleration that can occur taking off on slippery roads, negotiating a hill or accelerating out of a corner.

TCS brakes the driven wheel when it demonstrates a tendency to spin and adapts the engine torque to obtain maximum traction.

Power & Performance

The unbelievably powerful BF Falcon Ute MkII is loaded up with a host of innovative refinements. Across the range you’ll be blown away by advanced technology like double overhead camshafts (DOHC)*, variable camshaft timing (VCT)# and electronic fly by wire throttle control.
