ABS

The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) helps prevent the wheels from locking under severe braking conditions. Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) works in tandem with ABS, and adjusts the brakeforce to the rear axle depending on the loading conditions.

Traction Control

Traction Control provides the driver with better control of the vehicle.

Passenger Airbag

Transit's optional front passenger airbag is large enough to help protect both your front passengers.

Perimeter Anti-Theft Alarm and Engine Immobiliser

Transit Van provides as standard a perimeter anti-theft alarm, hood lock and engine immobiliser.

Dynamic Stability Control

Dynamic Stability Control (DSC)* with Traction Control helps avoid understeering and oversteering by correcting the driving line through a combination of brake application to the appropriate wheel and a reduction in engine torque.

The DSC system also includes two very important features. The first is Hydraulic Brake Assist, which on sensing an urgent brake application, increases the brake force if the driver isn't applying sufficient pressure. And the second is Load Adaptive Control, which takes into consideration the loading condition of the vehicle and ensures the DSC is then applied accordingly.

DSC with Traction control is available as part of the optional Professional Pack on all Transit models.
