Focus is big on safety. For your peace of mind, the latest Focus comes with a 5 star ANCAP safety rating, including the Focus CL when specified with the optional safety pack. So it's good to know that all Focus models come with a mighty long list of safety features that look after both you and your passengers.

A fully integrated 'smart' system that co-ordinates the deployment of safety technologies by sensing the severity of a crash and responding accordingly.

Airbag Protection

Every Focus features driver and front passenger airbags. Side front airbags are also standard on all models.

Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)

ABS incorporating Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) for surer, safer stopping. This feature is standard on all Focus models giving you greater peace of mind.

Additional Safety Features

The Focus also includes many additional safety features to help keep you secure in the event of an accident. Features include energy absorbing crumple zones to reduce the force of the impact, anti-intrusion clutch and brake pedals that collapse away from the driver's legs to reduce the chance of leg injuries, and a high-strength passenger cell providing additional protection to the occupants from the force of an accident.
